HCPS New Teacher Academy 2026

During this session, all early learning preschool, grades 3-5 educators, all new school counselors, elementary Health and PE teachers, elementary visual arts teachers, elementary performing arts teachers, and long-term substitutes will learn practical strategies for building positive relationships with students' families and leveraging supports from the community.

This open lab session is designed for teachers who would like individualized, one-on-one support with PowerTeacher and PTPro Gradebook. Rather than formal training, participants can stop by to ask questions, receive guidance, and get hands-on assistance with navigating the system, entering grades, and managing gradebook tasks efficiently.
This session is ideal for Year 1 teachers, board substitutes, and anyone who is new to or would benefit from additional support using PowerTeacher and PTPro Gradebook. Come with your questions and work at your own pace while receiving personalized assistance.
