For Teacher Licensure Cohort Academy Participants ONLY: Work at assigned schools to complete SafeSchools modules and prepare for the upcoming school year.
During this session, all early learning preschool, grades 3-5 educators, all new school counselors, all new Health and PE teachers, Year 1 Visual Arts Teachers, Year 1 Performing Arts Teachers, and board substitutes will learn practical strategies for building positive relationships with students' families and leveraging supports from the community.
During this session, year 1 secondary educators, year 1 arts teachers, CTE teachers, and board substitutes will learn practical strategies for integrating SEL into daily instruction to create a learner-centered environment.
During this session, experienced High School English / Language Arts educators will learn about how HCPS designs, delivers, and assesses English / Language Arts content for high school students.
During this session, experienced Middle School English / Language Arts educators will learn about how HCPS designs, delivers, and assesses English / Language Arts content for middle school students.
During this session, exceptional education teachers and board substitutes who serve in secondary schools will learn about the VA IEP platform, case management and providing specially designed instruction.
During this session, experienced high school Mathematics educators will learn about how HCPS designs, delivers, and asseses Mathematics content for high school students.
During this session, experienced middle school Mathematics educators will learn about how HCPS designs, delivers, and asseses Mathematics content for middle school students.
During this session, experienced Science educators will learn about how HCPS designs, delivers, and assesses Science content for middle and high school students.
