About me
Jasmine Bates is an Educational Specialist in the Division of Empowerment, Development, and Opportunity and is also a proud graduate of Henrico County Public Schools. With more than 20 years of experience in education, she has served in a variety of roles, including English Teacher, Dean of Students, Behavior Specialist, and School Counselor across Virginia and North Carolina. She holds a B.A. in English from Virginia Union University, an M.Ed. in Counselor Education from Virginia State University, and a Post-Master’s Certificate in Administration and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University, where she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Justice. Jasmine has also provided professional training, co-authored articles, and presented at local, state, and national conferences focused on education, leadership, and student success.
