About me
I have completed my 33rd year teaching in Henrico County and currently teach 5th grade. Throughout my career, I have been committed to creating a learning environment where all students feel supported, included, and empowered to succeed. I strongly believe in the power of collaboration and teamwork as essential components of student growth. In my classroom, students work together to share ideas, solve problems, and learn from one another. I intentionally create opportunities for meaningful discussions, partner work, and group learning that build communication skills and strengthen our classroom community. My classroom is rooted in student-centered learning, where students take an active role in their learning and feel ownership of their progress. I strive to meet the needs of diverse learners by ensuring all students have opportunities to contribute their strengths and perspectives. Through collaboration and a supportive environment, I work to ensure every student feels valued, confident, and ready to succeed.
